Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. She has been praised for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Her career began as an actress on Broadway and Off Broadway. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class production. Following a bout of mumps, she went blind on the other side of her ears. But, it did not stop her ambition to become an actor. At college, she was a theatre student as well as later moving from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her dream. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. The first time she appeared in a film was when she moved from Los Angeles. She has since appeared in many TV movies and series over a career spanning more than 30 years. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
